I didn’t even realize I was smiling, but I guess I was. The black and white kitten I’d been seeing around lately had made an appearance. I was watching it chase a tiny moth around in the grass, swatting at it, without success, and then being distracted by a sound, and forgetting all about the moth. I guess the scene had gifted me a peaceful moment of distraction. I turn around, recognizing the voice right away. He repeated the question.

“I’ll ask you again. What the hell do you have to smile about?”

“Nothing Warden Hamilton, absolutely nothing.” I hang my head apologetically.

“Why aren’t you over there with the other inmates, Carlson?” He asks, scowling at me.

“I don’t know, Sir. I just like my solitude, I guess.” I answer.

He let his gaze travel along my body, which although covered by my prison attire, still seemed to catch the attention of him, some of the other guards, and a few of the women. If I didn’t enjoy the attention, his gaze would have made me very uncomfortable. I didn’t flinch, I just let him take it all in. We had about forty minutes left outdoors, and I hoped to be able to watch the kitten’s antics again. I looked around the area it had been in earlier, but it wasn’t around. I see the gardening shed door was slightly open, and figured he might have gone in there. That worried me, because I was scared he’d get locked in there, once we were all leaving the yard. I rush over, and slip in through the cracked door. I close it shut behind me, so no one else notices that it’s open.

Once I was still, I heard shuffling, and it made me freeze. It sounded much bigger than a kitten. I turn around slowly, and see an officer in the corner, sitting on a bale of hay, with his uniform pants around his ankles, with his boxers at his knees. “I won’t say anything. I just came looking for the kitten. The little black and white one?” I explained.

“Yea, I’ve seen him, in fact that’s how I ended up in here. I followed him in, and-”

“…and it pulled down your pants and made you stroke your dick?” I interrupted him and finished his sentence.

We both laughed.

He admitted that sometimes being around so many women made him crazy.
