It’s been some time since I’ve enjoyed the rain. Sometime since I’ve heard thunder as pure as this. And just as I begin to enjoy it, it ends. Like all things good and bad. It ends. Not with one last loud crash but it slowly dies off and disappears into nothing. It’s quiet again. Only the sounds of the raindrops dripping from the tree leaves. The air is thick and warm. A gentle breeze rattles the trees making them sprinkle me with water. It’s cool on my skin. I close my eyes and begin to drift away again. Smells overwhelm me, the rain water is fresh and I enjoy its purity. I begin to drift again. This time I am lost and entangled by the smell of the trees. Strong smells of old earth push me along my journey. As I lay I feel myself drifting back to where I began. A soft touch caresses me. It feels as though a rose has gently grazed my skin. The touch continues. It feels so wonderful that I forget the rain. As it continues to outline my face I recognize it. Nothing in nature could ever compare to this softness. How foolish of me to think so. I try to move to get closer to her, but I am stopped. A gentle force coaxes me back down like a strong wind cooling and calming me. I comply. A warm burden falls onto me I recognize it again. She begins to gently press her lips to mine. Her kiss is wonderful. It is sweeter than the ripest of fruit. I raise my arms to take her into me. She is again soft and warm. The breeze comes by again sprinkling raindrops onto her back. Their coolness surprises her and she gently moans and arches her back. My hands follow the contour of her form.
