The Passion Becomes Reality_(0)

The plane ticket was sent and my heart raced faster with each passing day until his arrival.  I couldn’t believe I was actually doing this.  Here I was, separated from Antonio for less than 3 months and I just sent a plane ticket out for a strange man, whom I’d never met, to come spend a week with me in my little furnished room.
I had to be crazy.

My mother told me I was.  “You’re letting him stay with you?” She admonished.  “Are you crazy?  What if he’s an ax murderer?

After reassuring my mother that we’d spent 2 years talking to each other on line, and the previous 9 months, for the most part, had been 5 days a week, 8 hours a day.  I convinced her that we knew each other extremely well and I was sure he didn’t have any psychopathic tendencies, while at the same time, pushing away that little pin prick of my mothers voice that always stays with me whenever the remotest possibility of an “I told you so” is present.  My heart told me to go for it and I had to follow my heart.

This was it, the big day. He had told me that he had a fantasy of my meeting him at the airport in a short dress with no panties, so the decision of which lingerie to pick out was no longer an issue.  Having tried on almost every dress in my closet, the choice was made.   My blue floral print. Very innocent, but short, and with a low scooped neckline and curve hugging enough to be sexy.  I was ready.  I was off to the airport.

The plane was delayed for an hour and a half, but being the Las Vegas Airport, passing the time was not a problem.  I just found the nearest smoking lounge, pulled out $20 and hit the slots.  That killed the first 15 minutes…and the 20 bucks. (Never play at the airport)  So I just wandered around the airport and ended up at the gate with half an hour to spare.
I struck up a conversation with the attendant at the desk and told her about my heartthrob. She thought it was very cool and said she couldn’t wait to see what happened when he stepped off the plane.  She was almost as excited for me as I was.

The plane landed.  My heart stopped.  I couldn’t breathe.  What if he hated me?  What if he thought the 15-year age difference between us really did matter?
