We pulled into the brewery parking lot and made our way in. The place is massive and combines modern decor with old style brick walls and ornate woodwork. There were plenty of seats at the massive bar so I told the hostess we’d just sit there. She was an extremely hot blonde and she said, “OK sugar, have fun.” I looked around and all the servers and bartenders were knockouts so I reminded myself to be on my best behavior.

Mary Ann said, “Wow this place is amazing. I didn’t think breweries were this nice.”

“There are so many of them these days that they need to have this kind of atmosphere to enhance the experience and remain competetive.”

She said, “Ah, that makes sense,” as we sat at the bar.

The barmaid came up to us and said, “How are y’all doin today? My name’s Melissa and I’ll be taking care of you.”

I said, “Well hi Melissa, I’m Tony and this is my girlfriend Mary Ann. Nice to meet you.”

She did a double-take and said, “The pleasure’s mine. You two make a real cute couple. I’ll give you a few minutes to decide and if you need anything just ask.”

After Melissa left Mary Ann said, “Getting pretty bold aren’t we Tony?”

“Not at all, it feels good to call you my girlfriend and that’s it.”

She kissed me as we looked over the beer menu and I waved Melissa over when we were ready.

“Ok Melissa, Mary Ann will have this IPA and I’ll have the lager.”

She said, “Good choice Tony.” She poured our beers, set them in front of us and asked, “Are we eating today?”

I said, “We just had breakfast so nothing right now doll, thanks.”

She winked at me and left to take care of other customers.

Mary Ann said with a smile on her face, “You just can’t help yourself can you?”

I said, “What do you mean?”

“Nothing right now doll? Really?”

“I was just being nice Mary Ann.”

“Well, it’s obvious you still don’t know the effect you have on women.”

I said, “I suppose I don’t think about it and I just try to be nice to people.”

She finally gave up, raised her glass and said, “To being nice to people, more of them should try it.”

“I’ll drink to that my darling,” as we clinked our glasses and sipped our beer.

“Mmmm this is yummy. How’d you find this place anyway?”

I said, “I’m in Cleveland several times a year and I usually try to explore different places. There are tons of amazing bars and restaurants here.”

“Oh really, what’s your favorite restaurant?”

I said, there’s a place in Lakewood that’s built into a cliff on the lake. Very high-end, very classy and the food is amazing.”

“Sounds yummy, will you take me there sometime?”

“If you want I’ll take you there today for dinner after we have a couple beers.”

She said, “Thats sounds amazing but you’ve done so much for me already, I don’t want to take advantage.”

“Nonsense, little girl, if you want to go we’ll go.”

Just then her cell rang and she looked at me, rolled her eyes and said, “It’s Jess. Should I take it?”

“Go ahead, she might just be worried about you.”

It was loud at the bar so she answered and moved away so she could hear better. After hanging up she came back, sat down and sipped her beer. I said, “Is everything OK?”

“Everything’s fine, she just wanted to know if I was OK and when we’d be coming back but I wouldn’t put it past her to do something stupid.”

“Oh well,” I said, “you can’t change the future by worrying about it.”

She said, “I’ll drink to that,” and we downed our beers and ordered another round.

After our third beer she said, “I really need to pee. Be right back.”

I watched her ass as she bounced to the girls room and Melissa came over in a flash and said, “I’m impressed Tony that a man your age has a beautiful looking girl like that who’s 20 years younger.”

I said, “Thanks but try 37 years younger.”

Her mouth dropped open and she said, “No fucking way. Well, it’s obvious that she’s crazy about you. You’re a lucky man.” She slipped me her business card and said, “Next time you’re in town give me a call.
