This happened many more years ago than I care to admit. The names that I can remember have not been changed.

My friend Jim and I decided to go to Florida on college spring break. We took turns driving my car. It was pretty far because we lived in New York State. We knew that Daytona Beach was the popular spot, but no rooms were available. We decided on Cocoa Beach. I remember the hotel we stayed at was The Atlantis. There was a Holiday Inn about a quarter mile down the road. There was a bar at the Holiday Inn.

We drove there one evening. It was a hopping place. We ordered our drinks and scanned the room. There were lots of good looking girls there. I went over to two girls and offered to buy them a drink. I cannot remember either of their names. One said she did not want anything and the other wanted a Jack and Coke. We drank our drinks and chatted. Eventually the other girl wandered away. The one that wanted the Jack and Coke already must have had a few drinks. She was visibly on her way to a good drunk. She kept staggering over to a table with two other guys. I asked her if she wanted another drink and she wanted another Jack and Coke. I figured she was so wasted she would never know the difference, so I ordered her a whiskey and Coke. She never noticed. A few sips later, and in her slurred words she said “Do you eat downs?” I was not into it but I told her I did. She said she could get some. I gave her some money and she went to the table with the two guys.
