Adam was already awake when Edna came home. Lying in bed, he heard a car pull into the driveway, and half expected a door to open and close. But instead he heard the car linger, the engine humming. Finally, after what seemed like an hour – though it was really 15 minutes – he heard the car door open, a giggle, the car door close and the car pullback from the driveway and pull off with aggression. He then heard the click of high heels head toward the side rear door, keys jingling and the door open.

He heard all this, lying in bed, staring into the darkness, awaiting his wife to come home and come inside from her night out. It was her sixth night out in the past ten nights. Twelve nights ago, she had discovered Adam’s recent obsession with online sex workers and real-life whores.

Adam’s obsession got the better of his judgement, not least of these his consideration to hide his indiscretions with some effort. Edna had used his laptop to retrieve some documents, and upon opening it, found three open chat dialogue boxes, and an open internet browser with several tabs opened to pornographic sites. What first appeared to be lewd images of a normal man being obsessed with porn soon showed itself to be something far more sinister, and a confirmation of what Edna had felt and feared the previous months. The dialogue boxes included chat about past meet-ups and plans for future ones; one dialogue specified cum-stained panties being delivered for cash, in person, and with much appreciation from each person. The web browsers weren’t merely porn sites, but actual escort sites, no less than two tabs opened for transexual sites; indeed, one tab was opened to a search page results for the term “black tranny escort”. There was even a tab opened to a social media page, in which the profiler – presumably Adam – followed and was followed by what seemed to be nothing but sex workers, strippers, escorts, transexuals and social media “models”.

Edna was shocked by the content, but not necessarily by the images. Adam, a year earlier, had gotten her into porn, watching crude anal videos with her. This happened in response to Edna indicating that she felt a lull in their relationship, and Adam concurred. His idea was to bring her into his obsession – mild, as he termed it – with anal porn, particularly that which included large dicks. He explained to her that the image of a dick, sans condom, pistoling in and out of a gaped asshole, especially one that is well loosened and all too accommodating, enthralled him.
