Chapter one- the demons plan

“The master will soon return to us and we will finally have the victory the ancients denied us, all those centuries ago.”
As the cloaked figure finished speaking and sat back down another stood up and stepped forward.
“It may not be that simple my lord, the ancients will attempt to stop us again and this time they have help.”
“They will fail to stop us.”
“They are a group of beings known only as the hunters. No-one seems to know much about them. All we know is that they have existed for thousands of years and they control powerful creatures born of the dark world and there are always seven of them.”
“Then we will need to recruit champions of our own, we cannot fight the ancient forces as well as these hunters.”
“they also have a hybrid, our informant seems unconcerned but when i heard the name, I thought again, they are bringing ‘him’ back. We will need to tread very carefully if we are to avoid him destroying us all.”
“Plans for our ‘recruits’ are already in place. We will have our soldiers within three weeks and they will be ready to destroy the hunters by the time I have finished with them.”
“Very well chromos. Find the warriors and do it quickly.”
“By your command, it will be done.”
With that the one known as chromos left the cavernous meeting chamber and headed to the archive building to find the greatest warriors in history to fight the hunters and ancients.
“Commander Chromos, what information do you seek today?”
“Get me all information available on these individuals, whatever the source. Rumours, legends, witness accounts, everything. I need to know exactly when and where they could be found.”
“As you wish, some of the information will be hard to locate, we could send the information on to your facility when the search is completed if that would make things simpler.”
With that chromos left for the facility he had set up in the mountains and arrived to find everyone busy working on the machines he had designed for this mission.
“Ah commander, as you can see, the devices are nearly completed, and do you have the files yet?”
He told the scientist what the archivist had said and told them to continue working on the machines before reporting back to the council of demon elders.
“You are sure that this can work?”
“Once we have the data, then it will be easy to find them.
