Hong Kong

Zhang fidgeting with her short dress, clearing her throat uneasily as she sat at the bar in one of Hong Kong’s hottest night clubs.
Men are staring at me, and honestly she didn’t blame them. The dress her mysterious date had sent her is ridiculously short and the sharp, lethal looking stilettos made her look sharp and sexy. She didn’t look like a cheap hooker, or a more expensive hooker, she looks like a lethal femme fatale and though she didn’t dress like this, ever, she knows that she looks incredible. The music in the club is hot and heavy, and the dance floor is at her back as she sat at the bar, in the corner stool. She stirs her drink and makes a slight face, glancing up to look around and peering at the door. People have been coming and going, and she has been here for thirty minutes…

” You’ve barely touched that drink, ma’am.” The man sitting next to her chuckled. She looks over, a little surprised. I’m tall, clearly a businessman, with gray hair and equally dark eyes. She smiles, a little nervously, glancing down at her drink. Does she make the guess taking the chance that this is her unknown date? That this is the man she had taken a leap to meet. She had been talking to me for months, told me she would be drinking a martini, and then I sent her this dress and heels, told her to sit in this exact seat and order her dirty martini…” I’m waiting for someone.” She smiles, a little braver. Zhang looks up and sees me, ” Do you think it’s wise to act like this?” I said in a very calm, chilling, voice. I helped her stand, not moving but my arm as she quickly gained her feet. I never removed my warm hand from her arm, but as the three of us stood there, in some strange triangle of pain, I twisted the man’s wrist until he screamed.

Zhang is amazed no one at the bar spoke; instead, they looked away uneasily. Zhang has never been here before, but it is clear that I had. By the way everyone is looking somewhere else; She would have gone so far to say that I owned the damn place. She swallows nervously as she watches me, my straight spine, the cold look on my face as I clearly caused agony to the drunk.
” You shouldn’t come back here.” I said calmly, as if commenting on the weather. The man nodded, tears of pain streaming down his face. As I released his arm, the man stumbled forward and fled the bar. ” J – John?” She whispers in question, her heart racing. I turn my piercing eyes at her and her racing heart nearly skidded to a halt. While my voice and face may have been cold, my eyes were blazing with heat. She closes her gaping mouth, my hand on her forearm suddenly seeming much too warm. ” I’m pleased to see the dress fits.” My voice changed dramatically from the cold, commanding tone I had used with the drunk. Now, it writhed with a sensual heat that nearly put her back on the floor. She swallows and blushes lightly.

” You were worried?” She purrs lightly, clearing her throat and shaking her head. Attempting to sound seductive had failed miserably. I smile kindly and led her to a private table in the back corner. There are curtains that can be pulled closed and the music pumping from the dance floor is far less obtrusive in the little cove. I guide her to her seat in the large booth and she knew better than to argue as she sat down I give a satisfied nod. I slide gracefully into the side opposite her, my piercing eyes digging into hers as I slide my gaze up and down her body. I might have well ripped off this dress of mine then and there for all the subtlety my gaze provided. Zhang decides to fight fire with fire and fully take in the enigma that is me. My suit is crisp, clearly expensive and most is Armani, the subtly lavender shirt underneath surprises her with color choice, but taking it all in she realizes nothing else would have worked as well. I didn’t wear a tie, instead the shirt casually left a few buttons undone at the neck.
