Our dogs needed to get some exercise and run around off the leash. There is a nearby park but it often has people there and our dogs are very friendly – too friendly – and can be a nuisance to non-dog people. There also happens to be a vacant lot very close by and I sometimes take the dogs there to run around off-leash.

Earlier today I went there and let the dogs off once we were safely away from the main street and they ran off as usual.
