A DIFFERENT MORAL CODE

68. It was well past midnight when the taxi dropped me off at the “cornucopia of delights” marina. It had been a very long day. Up at the crack of dawn, delayed flight, hijacked by a MILF and her husband into a delightful threesome. I was exhausted and wanted nothing more than to climb into my soft bed in the captain’s quarters on my Love Boat.

As I traversed the marina parking lot, I heard voices coming from the marina “headquarters.” Although it was dark, I could vaguely make out several people sitting around the table on the large patio next to the house. I did my best to remain just a shadow, desperately trying to avoid any contact with these derelicts. Then a voice rang out. It was Percy. “As I live and breathe. It’s the dumb asshole from the fancy boat! Hey, fuckface! Git yo’ ass over here. Come git sum of this moonshine.”

Shit! I was busted. I walked over to the patio and scanned the scene, taking it all in. There was Samantha, of course, her head sagging down, her chin resting on her chest, snoring. She was obviously passed out. Percy sat across, more animated and vocal than ever. Tiffany was sitting next to a stranger, a tough looking guy with lots of tats. He was probably a motorcycle gang member and was enjoying the handjob Tiffany was giving him under the table. There was an empty bottle, lying on its side, with a half full one standing next to it on the table. A couple of ashtrays full to overflowing and some used Styrofoam take-out food containers completed the scene.

Upon seeing me, Tiffany bolted up, losing her balance.
